A totally unpredictable and in no way boring post about eBay

by Lindy

Guess what.

We sold some stuff on eBay.

Are you shocked?

You’re shocked.

Are you getting bored of our eBay posts?

The good news is there won’t be too many more of these.  Our eBay pile is looking quite thin these days.  It’s exciting!

I’ll keep this brief, in case you really are bored.

I was perplexed about what to do with all these comic books.  I guess the technical term is “graphic novels.”  A lot of the titles weren’t showing up on Half.com, or if they were, the prices were all over the map.

So I did a little searchy-searchy and saw that some these titles were doing pretty well on eBay.  I grouped them together and sold them in lots.  Collectively they netted $192.10.

And, we sold some more music equipment.  You’re so shocked, right?  We aim to be unpredictable around here.

This collection of musical goodies gave us $426.65

Two of these items are related, so we offered to combine shipping should one person want to buy both. We thought we were being so clever, and helpful.

But then we got all bird-brained and scheduled the auctions to end at the same time, making it physically impossible for one person to buy both items.  Next time we’ll stagger the end times by 15 minutes. Lesson learned.

Total for this eBay round: $618.75.

And now, I’ll end by showing you my eBay pile in its new svelte condition.

  1. w00T!

  2. I’m shocked. No really. Holy frackin’ cash pot. It just keeps coming.

I know you had to buy these things initially, but once again I am amazed at how much you are getting for your stuff. Congratulations.

Thank you! The cash pot should be slowing down soon though, and I’ll be a regular ol’ Joe trying to make a buck some other way.

  3. I’m not bored, just envious! If only I had stuff worth that kind of money! At least when you were consumers you were smart and bought stuff that holds its value! Your place must be looking much more spacious these days!

      It’s getting there. Thanks!

Wow, nice work. Whenever I read these posts of yours I wrack my mind if I own anything I could sell… and I’m pretty sure I don’t.

    Jealous!

    • Lindy

No, consider yourself lucky for not having all this stuff. It’s been stacked up in my bedroom for 6 months now!

  5. Congratulations! You must love watching that money roll in and seeing your ebay stock pile evaporate.

So what is your new plan for income generation?

    • Lindy

We have a few things in mind that we’re cooking up. I can’t wait to start “phase 2″ of our money making adventures!

  6. yea! such fun watching you whittle away at that pile while paying down your debt. way to go!

  7. Wow – you are doing so well! I’m beginning to be inspired to actually try and flog a few things on ebay myself. If only I could remember the passwords for my ebay and Paypal accounts…!

  8. You did great on your eBay sales! My husband has a bunch of comic books that we go through about twice a year and each time we decide to hold on to them a little longer. I’m really impressed with your price for the group – maybe we need to group ours together too. Thanks for sharing!
